This short Inca Trail route is recommended for those who have little time to get to know Cusco, during the journey we will pass through beautiful landscapes, dense forests, waterfalls, native flora and fauna and incredible archaeological sites and glimpse Machu Picchu from the heights of the gate of the sun the way the Incas did.

Day 1 :

Day 01: Cusco – Chachabamba (104 KM) – Wiñayhuayna – Aguas Calientes

Very early we will pick you up from the hotel at approximately 3:30 am to travel to the Ollantaytambo station for 2 hours, to board the Expedition train at 6:10 am. The train trip is an hour and a half to Chachabamba, during the journey we will enjoy the landscape of the Urubamba River or also called the Vilcanota River. Upon reaching Chachabamba (104 km) we will pass the checkpoint of the same name, to begin a walk through jungle landscapes with our guide until we reach the first Inca Archaeological Site of Chachabamba. Then we will continue walking for 3 hours and we will arrive at the most beautiful Inca site on the Camino: Wiñay Wayna (Always Young). Here we will appreciate a water source, temples, Inca platforms, religious and urban sectors. After the visit, a few minutes from the place we will have a delicious lunch. Continuing with the tour, we will arrive at Intipunku, from this place you can see Machupichu. Arriving at Machu Picchu in the afternoon and enjoying a unique opportunity to see the almost empty city. Afterwards we will descend to Aguas Calientes (Pueblo de Machupichu) and head to the hotel to rest.

Day 2 :

Day 02: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Ollantaytambo – Cusco

Very early we will have breakfast, and then get on the Consettur bus heading towards the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Here we will have a visit with our guide who will begin the guided tour so that you can better understand the history and architecture of the Inca City of Machu Picchu. . When finished, we will descend on the Consettur bus to the town of Aguas Calientes and then board the return train to Ollantaytambo. There we will pick you up from the station to transfer you to the city of Cusco.
