Our City Tour begins with pickup from your hotel between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Our first stop will be at the Cusco cathedral where we can see paintings from the Cusco school with gold and silver pieces.
Continuing with the tour we will visit the most important temple of the Inca culture Qoricancha “Temple of the Sun”, here we will observe the Inca architecture at its maximum splendor and we will learn about the Inca religion.
Later, the transport will pick us up to go to the upper part of Cusco and visit the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman where the Inti Raymi is celebrated every year, we will also observe the enormous zigzagging walls.
Then we will have a tour in the characteristic Qenqo of its Inca amphitheater and we will explore the semi-enclosed cave with figures sculpted on the stones.
Afterwards we will visit Puca Pucara, “red fortress” it is believed that this place served to control the entrance to Cusco and finally we will visit Tambomachay in this place we will observe water channels, small fountains and then we return to the city of Cusco around 6:30 p.m. p.m.
